Sand Key-Tampa Weekend

Last weekend, Darin and I went to visit our friends, Jill and Jim, at their condo for some rest and relaxation. (More like fun with kids and crazy-small Uno.) We left later in the afternoon on Saturday (we had to cut the grass and all that stuff) and got to Sand Key around dinner time.

Side note: Sand Key is near Clearwater Beach, which is due West of Tampa.

Went to get some grub and then went back to the condo for a beautiful sunset. Darin played football with the kiddos (S., K., and R.) and Jim, Jill, and I just relaxed and watched the ocean.

After playing on the beach with the kids, and of course some pictures... we went upstairs for bed and a game of Uno. Jill had gotten travel Uno and it was tiny! Like the size of my thumb. Really.

The next day after some delicious pancakes (thanks Jim!) we headed off to see Darin's brother and SIL, Kevin and DJ. B. was in town and the whole family came in to see him. We ate too much food, played Wii (I beat both Darin and B. Oh yeah!), went swimming, and had a great time.

Oh and I forgot - we had chocolate covered bananas. It was a great great day...

The First Try

So we have finally given it a try... smoking. Ribs, that is.

The smoker was given to us from my folks (thanks!) awhile ago... but hey, we tried and succeeded. We knew that we wouldn't be able to eat it all ourselves, so we invited some friends over.

We all had a great time and ate too much. But it was good.
